Position Summary

Permanent Evening Supervisor, Gr3 Medical Lab Technologist (MLT 3) position now available at the Penticton Regional Hospital.

This Evening Supervisor MLT position is responsible for supervising Laboratory operations during the evening shift and liaising with night staff to ensure appropriate services are provided during shifts. The Evening Supervisor also performs routine and specialized procedures in Core disciplines and other sections of the laboratory as required. This is a permanent part-time position. days of work are rotating and shift times are 1500-2300.

Qualifications

Medical Laboratory Technologist with current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS).

Minimum three years’ recent experience as a general duty technologist in a medical laboratory.

Supervisory and related technical continuing education courses.

Equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the facility.
